Solar Modules

Sentinel has partnered with Solgate Inc. and has an exclusive distribution arrangement for their locally manufactured mono- and polycrystalline solar panels for both residential and commercial solar power system installations.
  • Ontario Made Quality: SolGate solar panels are manufactured in the first large-scale production facility of its kind in Ontario. Located near Toronto, SolGate manufactures with the latest in technology to ensure their product matches the industry standard for quality and performance.
  • OPA “Locally-made” Compliant: Sentinel Solar is among the very few solar power system providers that can already meet the 2011 domestic content requirement for the OPA’s Feed-in Tariff Program.
  • Same High Efficiency: We offer the same power efficiency the huge off-shore manufacturers with Canadian made quality and attention to detail.
  • 25-Year Warranty and Approved: We offer a 25 year warranty on all solar panels we use. In addition, all panels are cUL approved for use in Ontario.

Enphase Microinverters

Typically, there is one large inverter per solar array, handling the conversion of many kilowatts of electricity. Enphase Microinverters are small, with one inverter attached and dedicated to each solar panel. The benefits of this, over one large inverter, include:
  • Improved Performance: By having power conversion occur at each module, the entire array becomes more productive - by as much as 25% over systems using traditional inverters.
  • Improved System Up-time: If one microinverter fails, the rest continue to operate as usual versus the failure of one large inverter shutting down the entire array.
  • Ease of Expansion: Solar modules can be added as requirements and budgets increase. Without the constraints of a large, centralized inverter, modules can be added in any increment, at any time.
  • Compliance and Reliability: The Enphase Microinverter is CSA Listed per UL1741, can withstand surges of up to 6kV and has a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of 331 years.

SGT-10750-TRK Dual Axis Tracker

Increase the solar collection efficiency of your system by as much as 40%!

On solar arrays up to 10 kilowatts in size (the maximum allowed under the MicroFIT Program), use of our dual axis solar tracker allows your system to precisely follow the sun across the sky. This maintains your solar panels at the best possible angle of exposure, optimizing conversion of the sun’s rays to power.

Increasing the efficiency of solar collection means you generate more electricity per day (up to 40% more) compared with a similar size system without tracking. As a result of producing more electricity, you to pay for your system in a shorter period of time and consistently generate more revenue thereafter.

Some of the key features of the SGT-10500 Dual Axis Tracker include:
  • 50 panel design (10.750 kilowatts)
  • Rugged tilt actuator with precision 24 VDC drive motors
  • Top-of-the-line azimuth drive with a gear ratio of 102:1
  • Battery backup
  • Storm position assumed in winds over 50 km/h & engineered to withstand 175 km/h wind speeds in failed position (vertical)
  • 35 degree stow angle during evening hours
  • Automatic snow dump daily (in the winter) between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m.
  • Built-in load center for 240 and 208 VAC
  • Engineered drawings with every tracker
  • Micro-Inverter technology
